Table Tennis

Introduction

At Auckland Grammar School the Table Tennis Team play every Friday after school and practice throughout the week. Teams are graded from A to D, and there are social teams available for casual players.

The top Auckland Grammar teams are very competitive and always put on a show at the regional and national events.

The Table Tennis pre-season starts on Friday 4 March and runs for six weeks.

Student success

Congratulations to Form 4 student J. H. T. Choi on his selection to the 2022 National Under 15 Boys Squad. This is an outstanding achievement and we take this opportunity to acknowledge his success and we wish him well as he prepares for a big season of National competition.

General Information

Terms played: Terms 1, 2 and 3

Game days: Fridays after School: 3.45pm (Grades B to D) and 6pm (A Premier, A Reserve, B1)

Practice times: Listen for the notice at assembly

Costs: $65 (Table Tennis shirt), entry fee costs are approximately $35 per player per term – once a team is officially registered, the players are liable for this cost

Equipment: Students must have their own bat, ball(s) and non-marking sports shoes

Registration: First week of Term 1, entry fees to be paid for the year through the Parent Portal

The Master in Charge of Table Tennis is Mr Lee. Students are able to speak to him in the Mathematics department during the School day or contact him via email.
