Head of Te Reo Maori (2MU 1MMA)

This position is for a permanent, full-time Head of Te Reo Māori (2MU 1MMA), commencing at the beginning of Term 3 2022. Applications close on Monday 22 August 2022.

Finance Manager

Auckland Grammar School is seeking an experienced, motivated and exceptional Accountant to join our Finance team. This position is a blended financial and management accounting role reporting and providing support to the Chief Financial Officer and has four direct reports.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Delivering accurate and timely monthly reports for the Board of Trustees, Committees and Trusts
  • Preparing  statutory annual reports and audit work paper files for the School and Trusts
  • Processing monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • The management of cash flow
  • Assisting with the assumptions and compilation of the School annual budget
  • Backup for the payroll function and review the fortnightly payroll and assist payroll staff with complex issues when required
  • Taxation compliance: FBT GST, PAYE
  • Maintaining the School’s fixed asset register

We are looking for a person with the following attributes:

  • Strong business acumen
  • Recent experience in Finance Manager or Financial and Management Accountant role.

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • CA qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years experience

Prior experience in an educational institution using Green Tree software is highly desirable, but is not a requirement. You are a person who will positively engage with the Finance team and the wider school community

Account Payable Administrator

Auckland Grammar School is seeking an experienced, motivated and exceptional Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance team of six, reporting and providing support to the Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Perform the full function end to end Accounts Payables
  • Sundry Accounts Receivable invoicing
  • Cashiering
  • Banking of cash as required

Head Coach of Rowing

Auckland Grammar School is currently seeking an experienced, motivated and exceptional Head Coach of Rowing, in a full-time permanent capacity, commencing on Monday 5 September 2022.

The Head Coach of Rowing will lead the rowing programme on and off the water working alongside a Master in Charge of Rowing, a Team Manager, Support Staff and the Rowing Club Committee. The rowing programme delivers the sport for boys of all ages and aims to enable students to reach their full potential in the sport.

The programme is well established with healthy numbers, excellent equipment, skilled coaches and an effective management committee. It is well supported by the school and the programme has consistently achieved very successful results.

Applicants must be able to work in a positive team environment, lead a team of coaches and to engage with young people to develop them in the sport. The key focus of this role will be the development of a performance plan for athletes and the management of day-to-day training sessions and regattas. This is to be achieved without compromising the academic achievement of rowers. The Head Coach is expected to uphold and promote the school values of integrity, excellence, respect, courage, pride, commitment and humility.

Candidates must have a minimum of Level 1 Rowing Coaching Qualification. A sports tertiary qualification is also desirable but not essential.
