Textbook Returns

A reminder to students to return ALL textbooks to Mrs Curry in room E12. Please do not return textbooks to teachers.

There is a meeting during lunchtime today in C16.

School Cross Country

The traditional annual School Cross Country will take place on the morning of Thursday 29 October (week 3). It will be run as an opt in event, rather than whole school so will mean you need to sign up. It will take place in the Auckland Domain before school with a 7.45am start, so meeting at the Grandstand at 7.30am.

All students who wish to participate must sign up this week.
Please come to H6 at Interval on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week, or see Mr Mackay in the Sports Centre.

We look forward to a great event and to seeing the winners crossing stage thereafter.

AGS Media Group

All members of the AGS Media Group must meet in A12 at the beginning of lunch today

These squash players, Jones 3I and Manivannan 4J, please meet Mr Lassche front of hall junior side after assembly.

3A Music

Can Mr Hare's 3A Music Class please meet at the front of hall at the beginning on Period 2 to help move gear back to the Lower Pavilion.

All Junior Softball players are to meet after-school on the Old Boys' Pavilion steps.

Is a scholarship for Maori and Pacific students enrolling at the University of Canterbury 2021. Students who are interested in attending a four-week transition academy during January should refer to the careers scholarship page on Grammarnet for further details.

Big Band 2021

Can all students who signed up to audition for the Big Band in 2021 please meet with Mr Hare at the beginning of interval in A7.

3rd Form Piano Cup Final

The Third Form Piano Cup Final and a workshop with the finalists will be held in the Centennial Theatre after school today. Friends, family, students and staff are welcome to attend.The adjudicator is Old Boy Justin Bird.

Symphony Orchestra/Concertate

There will be a rehearsal tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 7.45am for all Form 3-5 string players in Symphony Orchestra and any other string players who would like to attend.

Grammarphonics

Auditions for Grammarphonics will be held for 5th formers tomorrow lunchtime in M3 in the Music Department. Please sign up on the audition sheets by the end of today or see Mrs Roxburgh for more details in the English office next to A15. Auditions for juniors will take place next week.

The 2020 Term 4 Form 3 and 4 School Examination timetable is now posted on GrammarNet, the School Website and the MMT noticeboard. Students are requested to check the timetable carefully and make a personal note of the day and time of your examinations.

University Entrance 2021

The following Form 7 NCEA students still require literacy credits for university entrance.

Anderson, H. Chen, Coup, Hainsworth-Fa’aofo, Maruariki-Wiki, F. Moala, Norman-Bell, T. Park, Puri, Smillie, H. Sun, P. Tan, Vowles, Wiki, David Yu.

Universities will not allow you to enrol without literacy credits, even if you fulfil the other criteria for entry. If you are intending to study at a New Zealand university next year, you must meet with Mr Laing at lunchtime in E3 today.

Theatresports

Today's junior theatresports meeting is cancelled.

Volleyball

Draws for today's games have been posted. Premier team meet at Old Boys Pavilion at the end of the day to head to Kelston. All other teams are across the Sports Centre and the Old Gym. Make sure you are in PE Gear and suitable court shoes. Blue team are to help put up the pole system and net in the Old Gym before play begins.

Mathex

There will also be a meeting at lunchtime today to receive vital information about the competition on Wednesday 28 October (that's next week Wednesday). Former members are welcome to attend today's meeting too.
A general comment to all Team members: Homework completion rates are not good enough. All students must submit their full solutions to the 2018 questions by 9p.m. this Saturday.
