International Student Meeting- Senior Students

Form 6 and Form 7 International Students must meet in the MMT Room at Interval today.

Media Group

All members of the AGS Media Group must meet in A1 at the start of lunchtime today.

Library Monitors

There is an important meeting for all Library Monitors at lunchtime today. We will be meeting upstairs in the Library Monitors' area NOT the Vaughan Jones room.

Form 7 Statistics

Students in Mr Van Den Heuvel's Statistics class are to go to T11 period 4 today.

Driving to School and parking permits

Any Senior student who drives to School must register their car with Mr Oram. This applies to all students who drive motor vehicles regardless of whether they park in nearby streets or within the School grounds at the Hockey turf. Permission forms are available from Mr Oram in the Leadership corridor.
It is also important to remind students to park with courtesy and care in our neighbouring streets and to not park on berms or over driveways. Students should also not park in the clearways that surround the School before 9am. Finally, it is not permissible that students transport other students in their car at any time.

Part Time Jobs available

Epicure, based at Eden Park are looking for casual staff to work weekends and public holidays. You will be working for events such as the upcoming All Blacks games, and you must be over 16 years old to apply.

Rowing - Learn to Row

Last season was one of the most successful on record for the rowing team, and Grammar topped the points table as the best boys rowing school in the country. We also have the past captain of rowing Matt MacDonald stroking the men's Olympic eight and the biggest rowing team to attend the Olympics. If you are interested in giving rowing a try or you have been part of the Learn to Row program, come along to a meeting at lunchtime in the Old Gym. All welcome from Form 3-6.

Prefects' Ball 2021 payment

A reminder to all Form 7 students who have committed to attending the Prefects' Ball that this is the final week for payment. The charge for your ticket is loaded on the Parent Portal and awaits payment by Friday 30 July.

Squash - Premier 1

All members of the Premier 1 Squash team - please meet in S11 at interval today.

Basketball

Finals will be held this week for the Basketball Central West Zone Competition. The Junior A and Under 17 A teams will play St Peters and Western Springs to decide who goes through to the Auckland Championship in their grades.
All basketball players must be at team practice or see their team manager to find out arrangements for travel to games this week.

Social Basketball games restart this Friday after school.

Duke of Edinburgh - Silver and Gold

There is an important meeting during Lunchtime today in C16 for all students enrolled in the Silver and Gold Awards. Students who cannot attend must see Mr Bidet by the end of the day.

Asian Cultural Group - Chinese Extravaganza

The annual combined Epsom Girls and Auckland Grammar School, Chinese Extravaganza will be held this weekend on July 31st and August 1st, at the Ray Freedman Arts Centre at Epsom Girls Grammar School. The shows feature an exciting range of traditional and modern cultural performances. Tickets can be purchased from the iTicket website by searching Chinese Extravaganza. Students who missed Term 2 Examinations

Students who missed their Term 2 School Examinations for medical reasons are to ensure that their medical certificates are submitted to their respective dean by morning interval tomorrow, Tuesday 27 July.

All classes are run by experienced Cambridge teachers who are currently teaching their specialist subjects at Cambridge Schools in Auckland and classes are offered in a range of subjects at AS and A2 level. These classes, which vary in length depending on the subject, are held at Grammar between 9.00am and 2.30pm each day. Registrations for these classes are open and places are limited, so you need to get in quick as over 1000 students attend these revision classes each year. Further information and registrations are online at the ACSNZ website.

Cambridge AS Resits and NZQA Scholarship Exams

Reminder that entry forms for Cambridge AS Resits and NZQA Scholarships exams are now available for students to collect from the Leadership Corridor. The deadline for the Cambridge AS Resits in November is this Friday, 30 July. The deadline for NZQA Scholarship exams is next Friday, 6 August. All completed forms must be returned to Dr Etty.

A reminder that if you have a note to leave School early due to an appointment, you must go to the Front Steps after assembly to receive an exeat slip from a Deputy Headmaster before formally signing out at the Student Office.

Winter Concert Series

Tickets for this year’s Winter Concert Series on 2 and 4 August are available through the website events.ags.school.nz ($20 for each concert or $30 for both performances). The concerts start at 7.00pm in the Centennial Theatre.
This is fantastic opportunity to hear the range and variety of the School’s music groups. Staff, students, family, and friends are welcome to attend.

Plunket Annual Appeal

From today, all sold raffle ticket stubs should be returned directly to Form Masters before assembly. This is the only time for students to return their raffle tickets over the coming weeks so please do not miss this daily opportunity. Even though the deadline for raffle ticket return is a month away, all students are encouraged to try to sell their tickets as quickly as possible. From Monday, additional tickets will be available from Mr Oram's office before school.
