Become a Student Buddy

The International Student Buddy Programme is a student-to-student network, and you will be assigned to a buddy by the International Department.

This programme is for Auckland Grammar students who are keen to develop their understanding of other cultures, learn about cross-cultural communication, and practice leadership and teamwork skills. Group activities are coordinated by the Headmaster’s Committee to facilitate buddy pairings and engagement. The programme runs from Term 1 – Term 3 annually.

Your participation in this programme will result in recognition on the School List, but you will also gain from it personally, develop cultural competency skills and potentially new friendships too.

Then complete the sign-up documentation available during Weeks 3 and 4 of Term 1, or contact the International Department for more details via email at international@ags.school.nz.

NOTE: During COVID-19 restrictions, the Headmaster’s International Committee set up a virtual buddy programme to support international students during this time.
