Train to be a teacher at Auckland Grammar School

Auckland Grammar School offers prospective teachers a route into the profession by training in school for an academic year. In partnership with the University of Waikato and a group of other Auckland schools, Auckland Grammar School has successfully trained teachers for the last three years.

By spending a year immersed in the culture and working in the classroom at the School, mentored by experienced subject-expert teachers every day, in-school trainees gain invaluable insights into teaching and learning. Trainees complete university coursework remotely while fully involved in the life of the school and working as a member of staff at Grammar. Trainees receive a stipend and pay no tuition fees for the year.

This opportunity would suit a recent graduate or someone seeking a career change. Auckland Grammar School welcomes applications for potential teachers in all subject areas, but especially in Mathematics and the Sciences.

More information about the application process can be found on the School Based Training website.
