Cambridge AS Resit Examinations and 2022 Results Enquiries

Students who are currently studying A2 courses and want to do AS Re-sits in the May-June series can pick up information and application forms from the Leadership Team corridor. The deadline for applications to Dr Etty and payment to the Finance Office is Friday 3 February.

Students who wish to apply for a Results Enquiry following their Cambridge results may also collect information and application forms from the Leadership Team corridor.

Auckland Transport - Rail Network Rebuild

The Rail Network Rebuild is an essential upgrade of Auckland’s rail network. The Rebuild will be done one section at a time over the next three years. All students are recommended to plan their journey by visiting the journey planner function on the Auckland Transport website.

Over the next seven days there will be a series of lunchtime meetings for musicians who are starting Auckland Grammar this year. There will be a notice in assembly each day so listen carefully for your instrument to be mentioned. You will hear important information about the musical opportunities at Grammar.

A timetable is displayed in the Music department for you to check and Form 3 students will be reminded by their classroom music teachers daily.

Today’s meeting is for players of brass instruments. If you are a new student, at any form level and play trumpet, French horn, euphonium, trombone or tuba please report to M2 (in the Music suite) at the beginning of lunch today. If you cannot attend, please see Mr Wasson during morning interval in the Music office today.

Form 7 students interested in being a Camp leader for the 4A Camp next Wednesday 1st of February should see Miss Gaspar in the Form 4 Dean's Office.

Athletics Championships Day

Registrations for the School's Athletics Championships Day are now open. Please see Mr. Leiseder in H2 at interval today if you wish to register, or pick up a paper copy in the Sports Centre. It is expected that those who have signed up will utilise the trainings offered by the school. An updated training schedule will be posted onto the Athletics noticeboard tomorrow at lunchtime.

Preliminary Cricket team lists for all junior and senior grades will be emailed tomorrow afternoon (Friday). The Term 1 training schedule will be attached to the email and training for all teams starts from Tuesday 31st January. Please see Mr O'Neill-Fuller in the Physics department or email the convenor, Mrs Wells with any queries.

Cricket - Senior morning grades

Any Senior students who wish to register a cricket team in the College Sport T20 morning grades, must prepare their list of 12 names along with the adult who will provide supervision/management and meet with Mr O'Neill-Fuller in the Physics office by Tuesday next week.

Any student interested in playing golf in term 1 please sign up at the morning interval today at Mr Mackay's office, upstairs in the sports centre. This applies to those wishing to be considered for the Premier teams as well as those just wanting to play on Tuesday afternoons.

Swimming - Learn to swim

The School is now offering comprehensive swimming instructions for all levels of swimmers. If you are a complete beginner, you know how to swim but would like technical advice or you just want to swim for fitness, please come to a quick meeting at lunchtime in the Centennial Theatre this Thursday.

Students interested in playing competitive Tennis for Grammar this year, please register using the sign-up sheets on the notice board outside A9. Trials for Senior competitive Tennis teams will take place promptly after school on Wednesday 1st February at Ngatira Tennis Club along Clive Road. Trials for Junior competitive Tennis teams will take place promptly after school on Tuesday 8th February at Ngatira Tennis Club along Clive Road.

There will be information about meetings for those that would like to play social Tennis for Grammar in due course.

If you have any questions regarding Tennis at Grammar, please speak to Mr. Daniel in the Mathematics Department.
