Sports Fields

Auckland Grammar School proudly maintains six grass fields. The top level fields are designated to the 1st XV Rugby and Colts Cricket teams, while the lower fields are home to our 1st XI Cricket and Football teams. Click here to book the sports fields.

Rugby fields
As a school steeped in tradition and Rugby being one of the main traditional sports played at Auckland Grammar School, we have three full sized rugby fields.

Football fields
Auckland Grammar School boasts three Football fields (two full-sized and one slightly smaller field), all of which are overlooked by the Lower Pavilion.

Hockey Turf
Located on the corner of Clive and Normanby Roads, our Hockey teams practice and play on the all-weather surface which is managed by the School. This facility is used extensively by outside groups during the summer and winter seasons.

Lower Artificial Turf (No. 3 field)
Accessed via Normanby Road, this all-purpose astroturf was completed in 2016 and hosts Rugby and Lacrosse in the winter. Throughout the summer, Touch Rugby and Football are typically played on this field.

Cricket
We have two cricket wickets. Our 1st XI cricket wicket is down by our Lower Pavilion and the second wicket is on the top fields.
