Lacrosse
Introduction
The Lacrosse team is another relatively new sport at Auckland Grammar School. It is a very fast, energetic, contact sport commonly played in North America, but has gained popularity at Auckland Grammar since its inception.
The team trains weekly and competes against other schools that offer the physically demanding sport.
General Information
Terms played: Term 3, but training will start in Term 2. Competitions start August through to late September
Game days: 8-10 games, occurring Fridays after School
Practice times: Wednesday and Friday mornings 7am-8.30am
Costs: $70 for shirt if required
Equipment: Supplied
Registration: $10
Other information: Players are encouraged to purchase own stick and helmet, however gear is supplied
The acting Master in Charge of Lacrosse is Mr Mackay. Students are able to speak to him in the Physical Department department during the School day or contact him via email.
