Chinese Lion Dance Performance

On Wednesday morning, the Dragon and Lion Dance groups from the Asian Cultural Group performed a routine from this Friday's Cultural Evening, which will take place in the Centennial Theatre beginning at 7pm.

Organised by the Headmaster's Cultural Committee, the evening will feature performances from the Asian, Indian, Sri Lankan, and Pasifika Cultural groups, along with the Kapa Haka, Samoan and Tongan groups.

The Lion Dance is a form of a traditional dance in Chinese culture and other Asian countries, performed at festivals and special events to bring good luck and fortune. The Dragon Dance is also performed in these events to scare away misfortune and evil spirits.

A big thank you to Form 5 students D. Ren and G. Sajch who choreographed this year's routine. We look forward to seeing you on Friday for the annual Cultural Evening.
