It was another very early Sunday morning start for the deciding race of the Waterfront Team Time Trial Series. The seniors had to finish in no worse than fifth place in order to ensure a second place in the overall series, with an incredibly strong St Kents team guaranteed to win it. Things were extra hard as there was very little recovery time from the last race only a week ago. Senior A started behind Macleans and gained time on them pretty quickly. However, things fell apart a little in the last quarter and lack of consistency meant that the team finished in fourth place. They did, however beat the Macleans team. While the series results are not yet confirmed, the Senior A team have maintained their second place overall.

Junior A were missing half their riders this week but having not lost a race so far are already assured of winning the Junior series. A different look Junior A battled into the wind but despite some valiant efforts could only manage fourth place. Junior teams from St Kents, Westlake and Massey took the top three places, having not had so much of a sniff at top spot all season!

All teams should be back to full strength for finals day in three weeks time but they have the Auckland Individual Championships in just two weeks. The real business end of the season is looming so effort and commitment has to be nothing less than 100%.
