Senior Housemaster: Mr Peter Morton

Mr Morton has been at Auckland Grammar School since 1998, having 2 years leave of absence in 2002/03 where he travelled and taught in the UK. He spent 4 years in Tibbs House when first at Auckland Grammar School as an Assistant House Master. In 2005 he was appointed Form 6 Dean and held this position for 3 years. He is a Physical Education teacher at school. Mr Morton is joined in the hostel by his wife Delphine and son Raphael.

Housemaster-in-Charge of Gold House: Mr Simon Lassche

Mr Lassche is the Housemaster of Gold House. Mr Lassche has been a Housemaster at Tibbs House since 1991 and has taught at Grammar since 1987 where he teaches both Chemistry and Biology to senior level. Mr Lassche is a keen sportsman and very successful coach of tennis and squash.

Housemaster-in-Charge of Blue House: Mr Grant McNeil

Mr McNeil has been at Auckland Grammar School since 1993, having a brief time away at St Kentigern College. From 1995 until 1998 he was Housemaster of Blue House. He has a special interest in track and field, having represented New Zealand in the Commonwealth Games. He coaches Athletics and is Manager of the 1st XV.

Assistant Housemaster for Gold House: Mr Conrad Wing

Mr Wing joined Tibbs House in 2007. His teaching subjects are Mathematics and Accounting. He coaches tennis and squash, and is in charge of the sporting branch of the Asian Cultural Group.

Assistant Housemaster for Gold House: Mr Brendon Boyce

Mr Boyce has taught Classics and Latin at AGS since he began teaching in 2001.  He is currently HOD Classics and maintains in a wide range of sports.  He currently coaches volleyball and basketball at the School.

Assistant Housemaster for Blue House: Mr Warren Buckingham

Mr Buckingham is an Old Boy of Auckland Grammar School and joined the staff in 2000 as a Latin, French and Classical Studies teacher. He is Head of the Latin Department. He began in the hostel at the start of the year 2000 and has a special interest in hockey and disc ultimate.

Assistant Housemaster for Blue House: Mr Frank Haszard

Mr Haszard has taught Economic Studies at Auckland Grammar School since the start of 2010. Mr Haszard is the Master in charge of cricket at Auckland Grammar School and manages the 1st XI cricket team.

Assistant Housemaster for both Houses: Mr Ben Skeen

Mr Skeen has taught History and Social Studies at Auckland Grammar School since the start of 2007. Mr Skeen is an Junior School Associate Dean at school, heads the Leadership Programme and is Master-in-charge of rugby within Auckland Grammar School.

Matrons: Mrs Joan Caughley and Mrs Valerie Summersby

Mrs Caughley is the week matron from Sunday night through to Friday morning. Mrs Summersby returns as the weekend Matron. The Matrons are responsible for the health requirements of Tibbs House boarders.
