School uniform is an important part of developing pride in the School and a sense of belonging. The Auckland Grammar uniform is the same for all forms. It must be clean and tidy and worn correctly at all times. The uniform is:

• Navy shirt
• Navy serge shorts with plain navy or black leather belt (small buckle)
• Long black socks (with garters)
• Black leather lace-up shoes. In Terms 1 and 4, brown sandals may be worn instead of shoes and socks.
• Auckland Grammar School jersey.
• Auckland Grammar School jacket.
• Tee shirts, skivvies or similar singlets are not to be worn if they show above the shirt front, and no jewellery is permitted. All boys are to be clean shaven with hair kept neat and tidy.

A dress uniform consisting of long grey trousers, white shirt, school tie, dark socks and black shoes is worn by sporting and other groups travelling away from the School. If a jacket is worn it must be the official School jacket. PE uniforms are available for purchase from the school shop.

All boys representing the School at sport or in cultural groups are expected to wear the correct uniform as determined by the Master in Charge of the sport or group.

The AGS School Shop stocks the full range of school uniform at retail prices as well as second hand items. It is located in the basement of the Main Block and is open each day during school term.
