Heritage Hall Forms Project

Some well-known Grammar families, such as the Whineray family, Kirkpatrick family, and Schnackenberg family, have all “taken a seat to help keep Grammar great” and their family names are now permanently featured on a hall form in the School’s Main Hall. Have a look next time you are in the Main Hall. This article provides an update on this project and details how you can secure naming rights for your family on one of these distinctive wooden benches.

As a Grammar family, you now have a unique opportunity to make your family a permanent, daily part of Auckland Grammar's living history – and, at the same time, help to maintain Grammar's outstanding academic traditions.

For $6,000 for a large form or $3,000 for a small form, you can have a small brass plaque permanently attached to the front of a form. The plaque will feature the Grammar Lion, your family’s name and a notation that your family supports the Academic Endowment Fund.

Interest from the Grammar community has been good and, in fact, several orders were placed just this week. There are now only 169 of these Hall forms available. All proceeds go to the Academic Endowment Fund which helps Auckland Grammar School recruit and retain high calibre teachers in the classroom and allows the School to confer awards to top-performing teachers every year.

Don’t delay! Act now and secure one of these superb forms to keep your family’s name on permanent display in the great hall.
