Science

The Auckland Grammar School Science Department aims to encourage students to excel in science.

A balanced Science course is offered to students at Years 9, 10 and 11. Students can specialise in Biology and/or Chemistry and/or Physics at Years 11, 12 and 13.

The courses provide a solid background for students intending to further their education in science so they can enter careers where applying scientific principles and knowledge is necessary. Expert, enthusiastic staff motivate students to ensure students gain a better understanding and appreciation of the world they live in.

There are currently two qualification pathways offered within the Science department - Cambridge International Examinations and New Zealand Qualification Authority - NCEA qualifications. An Electronics club and an Environmental Committee also operate.
